Remington Tool & Die Company is owned and operated by  Alan Hirsch, a 3rd generation Machinist.

He was trained by his father, who owned and operated Vertex Tool Company for over 50 years. Vertex tool was a supplier for GE Space Systems when GE was heavily involved in the Apollo missions.

 

His training as a tool and die maker included fixture design, progressive dies, and tool & cutter grinding.

 

Remington Tool & Die Company has state-of-the-art 4 axis Machining centers, Hardinge CNC lathes equipped with Heidenhain glass scales with capabilities of turning up to
11 in diameter 17in length. The Hardinge lathes also have a C axis  with live tooling.

 

We machine all types of exotic alloys use in the Aerospace industry. Remington uses vacuum Chuck's to machine vespel, aluminum and other thin materials. We machine a variety of terminals, control boxes slider tubes, slider housings ball swivels and other components used in aircraft.

 

All outside vendors that we use are NADCAP and / or AS9100D certified, including services such as OD and ID grinding, thread grinding, gun drilling (also performed in-house at Remington Tool & Die), heat treating, and plating.
